Additional comments | This are two very nice shows that Mark Knopfler did to promote his new album The ragpicker's dream. The first one is the Johnnie Walker show that starts with the traffic announcement but this time with Mark Knopfler playing guitar as a backing track, very nice. It's a good show with a nice interview and perfect sound quality. Mark Knopfler explains why he came to write certain songs and also plays Marbletown live in the studio. Track 7 is also very interesting because listeners call in to ask questions to Mark. The second show is the Open House show with Gloria Hunniford. Again a nice interview with Mark in which he explains why he quit with Dire Straits and long tours. On this show he is very fond of his new Martin guitar and also gives a funny explanation for Why aye man. Mark played that song in the studio, but unfortunately it was playback, so no live tracks here. Very good sound quality. |
