This is a radio interview that Mark Knopfler did to
promote his new album The ragpicker's dream. It's a 50 minutes radio
show, broadcasted on 23rd July 2002 just before the first charity gig at
Shepherd's Bush Empire. Mark Knopfler is interviewed by Nicky Campbell and
talking about various things like his time as a news paper reporter for the
Yorkshire Evening Post, writing songs, charity concerts, the way of recording
A night in London, the Le Mans races, favourite football team, Private
dancer, Why aye man and many other things. People could ask questions
to Mark over the phone which results in some interesting comments from Mark.
Funny comment from Mark after a compliment by a caller: "The cheque is in the
post." Nice atmosphere during the interview.
