Additional comments | DVD-Video containing the broadcast of Seven ages of Rock, broadcasted originally on BBC2 on 16th June 2007. This DVD contains a recording from the re-run on BBC1 on the 17th June 2007. This part of Seven Ages of Rock follows the development of some of the biggest names in Rock, among them Queen, Bruce Springsteen, U2, The Police and Dire Straits and shows how, through events such as Live Aid and the rise of MTV, rock achieved a global influence on culture and politics. The Dire Straits part only lasts about 5 minutes and includes a small interview with Mark Knopfler and also shows the secret behind the Money for nothing guitar solo. It also features small clips from various TV broadcasts. Very good picture and sound quality. |
