One of the most interesting interviews with Mark
Knopfler as this one does not contain the standard questions and answers. The
Dutch radio reporter Hans Schiffers talked to Mark knopfler on the phone for the
release of his new album Privateering. This is Mark's first solo album that
reached the first place in the album top 100. Very nice comments about the way
he is giving autoagraphs nowadays, his touring behaviour, why he did not appear
during the Olympic Games in London 2012 with Dire Straits, touring with
Bob Dylan, the new drummer Ian Thomas, what the sleeve of the album means, about
his son Ben and many more. Wonderful to hear how relaxed and humble Mark is
during this interview. Total playing time is about 21 minutes. Good sound
quality.
