Additional comments | DVD-Video containing an audience recording of the Hay-on-Wye performance, a Literary Festival in Wales. Mark Knopfler was on stage for around an hour, interviewed by Matthew Evans. Accompanied by Guy Fletcher, Mark spoke of his career in music and played excerpts from Donegan's gone, Rüdiger, Romeo and Juliet and Sailing to Philadelphia. Song for Sonny Liston, Wild theme, and a new song, Secondary Waltz, were played in their entirity. Funny moment when Mark Knopfler is joining Guy Fletcher for a spot of boogie-woogie piano! Luckily, there was a big screen behind the stage where you could see more details. The sound is taken from Mini Disc and mixed with the video. So, overall a nice recording of a very special performance. |
