Additional comments | Live Aid, a UK concert recorded live from Wembley Stadium in London and in America live from the John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia on 13th July 1985. It still is one of the biggest concerts of all time. Bands playing and giving their best just to send the whole world one message: Feed the world! Probably the largest charity concert to raise money for the starving people in Ethiopia. Dire Straits was one of the bands that appeared that afternoon at Wembley Stadium and they played just two songs: Money for nothing and Sultans of swing. Dire Straits was only able to play in the afternoon as they were in the middle of the Brothers in arms world tour had their own concert that evening at Wembley Arena, just around the corner of Wembley Stadium. |
