Additional comments Hope & Anchor Front Row Festival is a hit double-LP of live recordings taken from various bands – mainly Power pop, Pub rock, Punk, and New wave groups - that played the Front Row Festival at the Hope and Anchor, Islington between 22nd November and 15th December 1977. It features both emerging punk / new wave bands and the numerous pub rock acts operating on the live circuit at the time. Among the artists is Dire Straits with a live performance of Eastbound train. That same version was also used as the B-side of the first Dire Straits single Sultans of swing. The recording from Dire Straits is from 9th December 1977. UK edition.
