Bearing the inlaid logo at the
headstock and
labelled internally FROGGY BOTTOM
GUITARS / CHELSEA, VERMONT / NOVEMBER 2010 and ink stamped P1442, of a
natural finish. Mark Knopfler received this acoustic parlour guitar as a gift from former GT driver Nicolaus Springer in 2014. The guitar is used on the tracks Wherever I go and Heart of oak. The guitar was also used for the title track of the Altimira soundtrack. The picture on the left is taken from the recording sessions for the Altamira movie soundtrack (recorded at Mark's British Grove Studios). See here for another picture from that session.
This guitar was auctioned at Christie's in London on 31st January 2024. It was sold for 63.000 Pounds. |
