This custom guitar was made for Mark by John
Monteleone, a guitar builder from New York. The guitar was used on the song Monteleone on the Get lucky
album. Mark personally selected the quilted Oregon big-leaf maple, the Adirondack red spruce and Macassar ebony from an assortment of woods while visiting Monteleone's workshop in Long Island. The guitar is named after Mark's eldest daughter. The picture is taken from the book "Archtop Guitars: The journey from Cremona to New York" by Rudy Pensa. Click here for another picture of that same guitar and here for a closeup. In September 2018, a new picture of Mark with this guitar was released for the promotion of his album Down the road wherever. And see here for another stunning picture of this guitar. |
