This is a cutaway acoustic-electric
guitar was designed by Jose Ramirez III in 1990. It has a built in
bridge pick up which is adjustable for individual string tone and
volume. Mark Knopfler acquired this guitar in 1990 from Ramirez to
replace the Gibson Chet Atkins CE.
Mark used this guitar for Private investigations during the On every street tour 1991-1992. In 2004, Mark used this guitar again to record Don't crash the ambulance and Postcards from Paraguay. Photographer Paul Cox

rehearsals at Bray Studios in July 1991. This guitar was auctioned at Christie's in London on 31st January 2024. It was sold for 52.920 Pounds. |
